27 March 2015: Steady-state regime of a sedimentation-consolidation system

The above figures display some components arising from the numerical simulation, via a mixed-primal finite element method, of the steady-state regime of a batch sedimentation process within a cylinder with a contraction. They correspond to the magnitude of the velocity field shown on the rotationally extruded domain, the second velocity component with vector directions, and the concentration, respectively.
