24 June 2015: Adaptivity of a pseudostress-based mixed method for 3D linear elasticity

This video illustrates the adaptive algorithm of a pseudostress-based mixed finite element method for the linear elasticity problem with non-homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions, in which the symmetric stress tensor is computed through a suitable postprocessing formula. We consider two examples: a L-shaped domain with a singularity along the line in the middle corner of the L, and a T-shaped domain with two singularities in the middle corners of the T. The non-symmetric pseudostress and the postprocessed symmetric stress tensors are denoted by ρh and σh, respectively. Further details are available in:
