The researchers Ignacio Muga (IMA, PUCV), Raimund Bürger (CI²MA and DIM, UdeC), Gabriel N. Gatica (CI²MA and DIM, UdeC), and Ricardo Oyarzua (CI²MA, UdeC and DM, UBB) are organizing VALPARAISO NUMERICO IV: Seventh Numerical Analysis Meeting of Partial Differential Equations, to be held at the Facultad de Ingenieria of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, from December 11 to 13, 2013. The first three meetings of this series were held at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Valparaíso, the next two at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago, and the last at the Universidad de La Serena. In particular, the participation of graduate and advanced undergraduate students is strongly encouraged, for whom some financial support is available. As in the previous meetings, the idea of ​​this workshop is to bring together researchers and students from Chile and abroad to continue or start collaborations, and to learn about new topics and achievements in the above mentioned area.
