|Thesis Title||Control of Thickeners-Clarifiers and Two-Dimensional Numerical Simulation of Sedimentation Processes|
The main objective of this thesis is the development and analysis of numerical methods for the approximation of sedimentation processes in Thickeners-clarifiers in one and two dimensions. On the one hand, for uni-dimensional problems, we propose second-order methods. On the other hand, for two-dimensional models are considered multiresolution methods and a method of finite element elements.
