The "Fourth Chilean Workshop on Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations (WONAPDE 2013)", organized by the Center for Research in Mathematical Engineering (CI²MA), with the collaboration of the Departamento de Ingeniería Matemática and the Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas, will be held from the 14th to the 18th of January 2013 at our university. This congress, which is the fourth version of the prestigious sequence of WONAPDE events successfully held in January 2004, January 2007 and January 2010, has as its main purpose, as in previous occasions, the gathering of a large number of Researchers and national and foreign students, and through them to disseminate and know the latest advances in Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations and their various applications. In particular, the topics to be covered include: A Posteriori Error Analysis and Adaptivity, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Mechanics, Computational Methods in Electromagnetism, Computational Methods in Fluid-Structure Interaction, Frontier Element Methods, Methods of Finite Elements, Discontinuous Galerkin Methods, and Finite Volume Methods for Conservation Laws.
