The Fifth Chilean Workshop on Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations (WONAPDE 2016), organized by the Center for Research in Mathematical Engineering (CI²MA), will be held from 11 to 15 January 2016 at our university. This congress, which is the fifth version of the prestigious sequence of WONAPDE events successfully held in January 2004, January 2007, January 2010 and January 2013, has as its main purpose, as in previous occasions, to bring together a large number of researchers and students at home and abroad, and through them to disseminate and know the latest advances in Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations and their various applications. In particular, the topics to be covered include: A Posteriori Error Analysis and Adaptivity, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Mechanics, Computational Methods in Electromagnetism, Computational Methods in Fluid-Structure Interaction, Frontier Element Methods, Methods of Finite Elements, Discontinuous Galerkin Methods, and Finite Volume Methods for Conservation Laws.
