A stabilized displacement - stress formulation for a linear elasticity problema with mixed boundary conditions
Abstract:
We consider the linear elasticity problem with mixed boundary conditions and introduce a stabilized mixed scheme, locking free, circumventing the use of the rotation as an additional unknown. We obtain optimal a priori error estimate and develop the corresponding a posteriori error analysis, endowing the scheme with an estimator that is reliable and locally efficient. We provide numerical experiments that illustrate the performance of the corresponding adaptive algorithm and support its use in practice.
